The collar on the face of the Cermet-potentiometer is provided with a scale for optical setting of the value of resistance and serves simultaneously as subbase in the front panel. The potentiometer can easily be operated by means of a screw driver and a vector of infinitesimal rotation of 260 degrees. The components of the 1831 series are equipped with a fixing pin which serves as additional mechanical fixation point on the printed circuit board.
