In general end plates are used at the end of each terminal row. If different terminals of different sizes are used on 1 terminal row, end plates are also used between these different sized terminals. The overall dimension of end plates conform to the dimension of the terminal to match. When operating with cross-connections partition plates have to be mounted between the cross-connection. This is necessary in order to follow the prescribed air and creepage distances.
